Baby #1- pregnant while on the pill

I went off the birth control beggining of August 07, and learn I was pregnant mid-september. I guess you can say I was lucky :)


Oh, but wait I have just noticed, you said pill... I was on the patch. It is the same thing tho :)
had my iud removed last june. started trying in september. still no luck
I was off the pill about 3-4 weeks and became pregnant.
it took me 2 weeks to get pregnant.
I concieved while on the pill.
2 weeks! lol I was in shock!





No worries though. It can take a few months for you to get pregnant after coming off of the pill. If you are worried talk to yourdoctor about it otherwise jst have lots of fun with your hubby! :)
It took me almost five months to get pregnant after going off the pill. (My doc had told me the average is 6-12 months for fertile couples coming off the pill).





To be more specific, I quit the pill at the end of April 2007. It wasn't until July 2007 that my cycles were back to normal again. Then finally, I had what would be my last period at the end of August 2007, and when I ovulated in early September, I used an ovulation predictor kit. That's the cycle I conceived!!! :) The OPK I used was Answer brand, which had 20 sticks for only $20 at Walgreen's. You might want to consider that if your cycles are irregular.





Best of luck to you. I know from experience how hard it is to be patient, and all kinds of people told me I was stressing myself out too much and ruining my chances of getting pregnant because I was so scientific about conception (tracking cycles). I tuned them all out, and I was pregnant before I knew it! So if anyone tells you that stress reduces your chances of conception, they're full of crap.
I was off the pill for about a month and the first time my husband and I tried to get pregnant, I did! It depends on how fertile you are, and I am very very fertile!
I got off the pill the end of October and by teh end of January I was. 9 weeks now! Its different for everyone good luck!
