i've been taking the birth control pill for 2 weeks and i've been REALLY horribly irritable. i really freaked out on my boyfriend today over something that normally wouldn't make me react that way. it makes me feel horrible the way i act and i'm not taking it anymore. my question is, how long will it take before my mood goes back to normal if i stop taking the pill tomorrow? i already took the pill this morning, so i would have to stop tomorrow.How long will it take the birth control to get out of my system?
it can take anywhere from within a few days to 3 months. talk to your doctor about the side effects your having and see about switching the pill you're taking, you may want a lower hormone pill, they tend to not have such major side effects as others.How long will it take the birth control to get out of my system?
everyone else has pretty much answered your question, but i was wondering, which birth control are you on?? if it's Yaz, I can totally see where you're coming from! i've been on it for many months now, and learned to cope with the mood swings. talk to your doctor, and he can suggest different types of birth controls that will be easier on your mood.
As someone else mentioned, it does take a few days to a few months for it to get out of your system. Perhaps you should switch brands, and the effects will go away. It is better to be safe than sorry, so try another kind and see how it goes.
