If I do a brisk walk every day,will it become easier to control my intrusive thoughts?

I was thinking of doing a ';fitness walk'; evry day-will it help?If I do a brisk walk every day,will it become easier to control my intrusive thoughts?
I think by 'intrusive thoughts' - you mean that you are troubled by ideas and perhaps problems %26amp; worries, that you simply cannot manage, %26amp; that get in the way of living your life.

There are a number of causes, some are easier to deal with than others - but how anyone might get rid of them will be a very personal matter.

Energetic exercise - walking or keep fit or a sport, certainly helps a lot of people, its a good way to forget the stresses of the day, and a much better way than many, (like smoking,drinking alcohol etc) - but almost anything that you choose to do, *that claims your full attention*, is likely to be helpful.

It may make it easier - if you join with others - because trying to get the thoughts out of your head, may be less easy with no one making demands on your attention, but yourself.

A yoga class is a way that many people seem to find helpful.

There are some good counsellors available, online too.If I do a brisk walk every day,will it become easier to control my intrusive thoughts?
It may help. Just find whatever you feel makes you relaxed and comfortable, so that you will have a calmer state of mind.

Also on another note, after you become calm, I suggest for you to

try to maintain that calmness, but don't try too hard or it'll go up to your head and you'll lose it before you even get a good hold of it.

You don't really need to be 100% calm to control intrusive thoughts, but it's just a matter of ';Do you want to let those intrusive thoughts control you?';

If all cannot be helped and those intrusive thoughts come in, just let it be and wander around your head while not minding it much. It may either sound like an easy or difficult task for you, but the choice is solely up to you and whether or not you would like to try at this or not. A little practive might help if nothing else works :)

Other than that, talking with people who you feel comfortable with might also help.
Well in theory it should help as you'd be releasing nervous tension, but from my own experience it really doesn't. I have to walk long distances every day out of necessity and am still plagued by troubling thoughts. Maybe your experience will be different though. In any case it is good for your heart.
Yes, exercise is healthy not only for the body but for the mind as well. Fresh air, along with concentration on your movements will take your mind away from your everyday intrusive thoughts. Good Luck!
I don't know! Maybe a brisk walk might help. different things help different people. what do you mean by intrusive?
From my experience, brisk walking does not have anything to do with control of intrusive thoughts.
It is possible because you are concentrating on the surroundings around you
