If I take my birth control three hours apart will it not work?

i can never take pills at the same time because I usually take them when I wake up.

and that can be anywhere from 8am to 11:30 am.

does it matter?

and other suggestions? If I take my birth control three hours apart will it not work?
Sorry has to be the same time every day or the hormone levels fluctuate enough for you to get pregnant. If you can't keep up with the pill then get norplant or an IUD. Those are much easier. If I take my birth control three hours apart will it not work?
That should be no big deal, you are supposed to take them around generally the same time every day, And those couple of hours fall into that time frame. And even if they didn't there just saying dont take it some days before bed and some days after breakfast, becasue it will make it less effective but it will not ever just totally not work.
A few hours' variance is NOT going to make a huge difference. The instructions only say to take ONE PILL EVERY DAY. The instructions do NOT say to take one pill every day AT 2pm EXACTLY.

It is only when you start skipping entire days that you need to worry!!!
You should make every effort to take them at the same time every day. It won't hurt to be a few hours off a few times a month but probably not every day.

If you wake up any time between 8 and 11:30 just take them at 11:30 every day, regardless of what time you wake up.
It doesn't matter too much, but it's not a good thing to vary the time too much. Read the packet of info that comes with your pill for more info on this.

Maybe switching to taking it at night would work better?
Yes it REALLY matters. Lowers the effectiveness, could almost make it useless. They must be taken within an hour of eachother.
