Is it just to make sure that you are not pregnant first? My period was last week...and last Sunday would've been the time to start but I didn't have my pills. I'd like to start this Sunday...is that a big deal?
This isn't a matter of ';skipping'; or missing pills....I'm starting a brand new birth control, I wasn't on anything before. So I'm wondering if I can just start it ANY Sunday or do I need to wait for my cycle next month? When starting birth control pills why does it state to start the Sunday after your period starts?
The Sunday start protocol is designed with the idea in mind that the average person taking the pill has the IQ of a turnip, and the drug company (or its legal staff) want to make things as idiot-proof as possible. It really doesn't matter when you start taking them, as long as you can keep up with the timing and take them consistently. When starting birth control pills why does it state to start the Sunday after your period starts?
You need to start on a sunday becuase usually the pill case they give you that you turn for each day, starts on a sunday.
it is best to start the sunday AFTER your period becuase if u take it during or right before, it might throught it off balance.
If you don't wait your cycle will be a little off, it's just easier to start that Sunday so you can regulate and keep track of when your period is due.
