Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 7 months and doing well. Im a virgin and he's not and tonight I have a gynechologist appointment to get on birth control. I was just wondering how long it actually takes to be efective. I know its not 100% and everything. but im just curious, god forbid the condom breaks. Also: Take your time and ask her as many questions as possible. Anything that you're curious about, she should be able to tell you.
Like, what are your chances of still getting pregnant if you don't use condoms? Will it have any side effects? How will your periods be? Etc., just get as much info as you can.
