Most BCP will supress ovulation the first month you take them- some within 7 days of the first tablet, some two weeks. Most doctors recommend you use a backup form of birth control for the first month to be safest. If you took your tablet, it's in your system. There won't be any way to absolutely tell you - but if you get your withdrawl bleed during your week off, then you can consider that evidence it's working as advertized. I think you have to take it for a month before it become effective.
it takes a week for it to kick in and work.. but sometimes it can take a couple days so it depends how your body takes it
