Gun control does nothing to stop the bad guys. It only prevents law abiding citizens a means to protect themselves. This has been proven by study after study. Gun control helps one group of people...CRIMINALS. And for those who asked if we really need ';High-powered Assault Rifles to hunt with'; please define what that is in your own words. How many assault weapons are used in crimes....1% aaccording to the ATF.

Okay, I am for gun registration. That way we can trace firearms by serial number and hopefully prevent felons from purchasing them. What I see is that there are more than enough gun control laws on the books right now. What I also see is that those same gun control laws are not being enforced, or prosecuted, which makes them meaningless.





I am for concealed carry laws. I believe in the second amendment. The reason that amendment was put into place was to ensure that Americans would have a way to protect themselves from an unjust and controlling government. As of today only one government has successfully removed guns from the hands of it's citizens, Nazi Germany. Hitler made the comment that for the first time in history a government had achieved complete gun control. This is a verifiable fact. It was made during one of his earlier speeches while he was still gaining power through popularity before he became an evil dictator.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
If more law abiding citizens were allowed to walk around with guns, i think there would be less crime.
I think some gun control is required. Do you really need a high powered assault rifle to hunt? But if there are more guns in the hands of the mentally balanced there would be less crime.
Gun control prevents the honest citizen from a means of protecting himself.


The criminal doesn't care what laws are passed - he has chosen not to follow them.

More laws only make it more diffcult for the law abiding citizens.





Lets be serious Chicago has some of the toughest laws on the books yet kids are still be shot. What makes anyone think more ink on paper will stop it.





When preachers demand more gun laws should rather be talking to the kids on how to deal with their hate.





My solution to gun violence is to eliminate the violence and the causes of violence.





Parents shouldn't have babies and dump them on the streets thinking it is up to society to discipline their children.





Parents should take responiblity for thier kids and the actions of kids where they live.





In the neighborhood I grew up in all the parents were parents not the kids buddy or defending their kid action as in Johnny never does anything wrong.





Holding kids accountable would go farther than letting the little demons run loose and protest some gun store owner.





The monster that shot up NIU do you think if we put another law of the books he would have say ';OOOH a law I better stop!';





I say enforcement is the key word.





As long as their is a demand for killing someone will provide the means.





The same as for drugs.
Policemen, military and hunters are legitimate.





Why would any citizen need hollow point bullets? You gotta do something to take the streets back but it may be too late. You can get a gun in any city easily.





My friend worked at a carwash and someone left one on the vacum, pretty scary. The cops were amazed he turned it in, but what the heck who knows what crime it was involved in.





Had hollow point bullets....small pistol we are close to the SF bay area where there are LOTS of random crime.





So YES!! GET THE GUNS OUT OF THE GHETTOS
