IF YOU ARE TYPING SOMETHING CONTINOUSLY IN EXCEL HOW DO USE CONTROL c TO REPEAT IT?

How do you use this function to repeat it so I don't have to keep typing the same thing over and over. Someone showed me once but I have forgotten.IF YOU ARE TYPING SOMETHING CONTINOUSLY IN EXCEL HOW DO USE CONTROL c TO REPEAT IT?
You have to first select the text/whatever, and then ctl C.

Go to where you want to paste it, and ctl v.

You can also go to tools | auto correct options, and put in an abbreviation for what it is you want.

That is handy if you use the same thing many times. Once you start to use it, you will swear by it. The same list is used not only in Excel but in Word and Access as well, and probably all of the other Office programs.

For instance, if you use the word ';government'; often, you can just type ';gov'; and it will complete it for you. I use fed for federal (I work for the government), sb for small business, sbs for small businesses. Give it a whirl.

This also guarantees that it will always be spelled correctly.

I use this a lot.

Ctrl V = paste

Ctrl X = cut

Ctrl Z = undo
once you copied it, highlight all the cells you want it in and ctrl-v to paste
