Will it effect the way that birth control works if i take the pill before i start my period?

Because i have already had my period,

and i don't know when i will start again.

The packet tells me that i can start the day of or the sunday after.

I have heard that you can take it whenever.

But does that still work? Will it effect the way that birth control works if i take the pill before i start my period?
Follow instructions and if you have questions, ask your dr.

BTW why do you put your name and where you live on the internet? someone that knows you could read your questions and embarrass you in front of people or do worse things. Will it effect the way that birth control works if i take the pill before i start my period?
Yes, the timing matters. It has to be started well before you ovulate, or it will not suppress your ovulation, which means you can get PREGNANT.

So you can indeed ';take it whenever';, but it won't protect against pregnancy until next month.
There is a reason why it tells you to take it at a certain time.

If you are still wondering - call your doctor! That's the person you should be getting answers from.
follow the direction!
