How do I control Japanese Beatles in Roses? Is it possible with organic pesticides?

I have a bad infestation this year - and they devour my flowers to stubs.

How the heck do I get rid of them?

Also, is there any way to do it organically?

Typical pesticides trigger my asthma, and that wipes me out for a day or so.

Everyone is having problems with the Japanese Beetles especially on the roses.. they do love the roses.

I think the best thing for people like us is to repel them..

Here is a recipe for repellent. You can use cooking oil if you like; the oil help it stick to the leaves better.

And I don't do it every day. Only when needed.

Sevin spray and powder will kill them.

Bayer makes a product that you mix with water and pour around the plants that will kill them too. You only need to dose them with once a year. It works for ornamental trees too. I've been using it for about 4 years now.
Thank heavens they are only around a short while and then they are gone. Your leaves will grow back, you will not lose your plants.

Most of my gardening friends go out each morning and pick them off their roses. They drop them into a container of water.
Organic pesticides are twice as toxic as synthetic ones. That's why people on organic diets throw up so much. Don;t believe me? Look up research studies.
I think you're a little confused.

The Beatles (except Pete Best) were all born in England.
Neem Oil. Read about it here.
