Where there is a will there is a way.
When sites are set up pedophiles target the sites to gain access to the children using it and groom any suitable candidates.
Most parents are warned to watch where there children go when on line but they very often fail to supervise the children who are groomed by them.
Children being children do not realize they are speaking to an adult who will say or do anything in order to build a level of trust with the child in order to gain advantage.
That's why the sites have monitors and alerts if certain words are said and children are told what to do if they are uncomfortable with the content of a conversation.
The Police in the UK pretend to be children to flush out pedophiles. Why is it diffficult to control pedophiles entering in chat rooms for children?
because those people are usually very gifted at the art of disguise. You never really know who is on the other end of the keyboard... that is why parental supervision is SO important for children on the internet. Why is it diffficult to control pedophiles entering in chat rooms for children?
For the same reason it is difficult to control sand blowing in the wind.
You have to ask this question, how can you keep them out? The real answer is this, you can't.
1. Until someone is convicted, you don't have anyway of knowing they are a sex offender. This is the biggest issue because many of these crimes go unreported and even the most prolific sex offenders committed sex offenses before they were convicted.
2. Even if they are known, based on the open access model of the Internet, how do you keep them out? Retinal scan requirement to access? Fingerprint scan? It would have to be for EVERYONE so that they could not get in.
3. Parents need to keep their children out of chat rooms., While what sex offenders do is repulsive, they find victims because parents ignore their children and use the Internet as a baby sitter.
4. Sex offenses against children are not new, it is just easier with the anonymity of the Internet for a sex offender to find victims. For as far back as their were children permitted to venture unaccompanied in to the world, there has been some sex offender out there waiting for them.
Because it would be hard to identify. Most of them would go to public libraries or colleges. you can't tell!
Becuase they would have to find the ip adress of each one, hten individually block it form the chat room database. these guys can have secret computers they use, and also, there are not undercover police on those sites 24/7 as some would have you believe.
As long as pedophiles exist and the internet exists, then there can be no control. It is easy to incarcerate a pedophile who is preying on children outside of a school because people can see him. No one sees that pedophile behind his computer screen in his own home, nor can they tell anything about him based on characters that he is typing in any chat room.
There is no test to prove someone is a child over the internet. Plus the scuzzbags are good at what they do.
Sorry I do not know;BUT as soon as you find out please come back and POST IT PLEASE ..
THANKS: from a hell of a lot of FAMILIES
NO NO NO don't [post it here'; put it in some type of newspaper because they are looking at this too see, shi*, I really see what you mean now but call your cable company or who your computer is by like Dell, and put a control on your computer so the child can't get into that site of /and get that site not to pop up, that they can do and tell all the parents that have computers you kids visit with because they know too..the kids that is, Now days they are very very wise..
Good looking OUT'; ';Parents........
i guess that there is just to many sick sob's out there to keep trak of! they should gather up all of them, put them on a desert island somewhere and they can all molest each other there and leave our children alone!!
Because of the anonymity offered by the internet.
I can create an email account on Google, register with Yahoo (using Google as your 'alternate email'), and enter chat rooms using four different screen names at once. Yahoo is none the wiser if you use an IP screening program.
Correcting this is nearly impossible.
